Tenants: let's work together to keep your place warm, dry and healthy
The Healthy Homes Standards were introduced to make rental homes across New Zealand warmer, drier and healthier, with a focus on features like heating, ventilation, insulation, draught stopping and moisture ingress and drainage.
But things can change over time and we need your help to keep everything working as it should.
What to keep an eye out for:
- New draughts coming through windows or under doors
- A heat pump that’s not heating properly
- Extractor fans in the kitchen or bathroom that have stopped working
- Moisture build-up, mould, or anything that doesn’t feel quite right
- Blocked or overflowing gutters, downpipes, or water pooling around the house.
If you notice any of these or anything else you’re unsure about, please let your property manager know. You’re not expected to fix it yourself, just keep us in the loop so we can follow up if needed.
Keeping your home healthy is a team effort as we’ll take care of the maintenance, but you play a big part by reporting any issues early. If you’re ever unsure, reach out. We’re here to help.
